We at Fredman Group Oy (“Fredman”) take the privacy of our customers seriously. We are committed to protecting all personal data and other information collected in connection with our services. The purpose of this privacy policy is to describe the principles and practices that we at Fredman follow in order to safeguard the privacy of our customers. This privacy policy is complemented by the data protection statements for our personal data registries in each of our services. We update them as our operations or services change or evolve. Fredman sends out direct marketing or customer communications messages electronically when the processing of personal data is based on a customer relationship, a person’s consent or other relevant relationship. Please note that we always try to send information that is topical and useful and we strive to keep the number of messages reasonable.The processing of personal data may be outsourced to external service providers in the manners permitted by the EU General Data Protection Regulation and national legislation.
Joint controllership between Fredman Oy and Facebook
The Court of Justice of the European Union has ruled that a company with a Facebook page shares the role of controller with Facebook. This privacy statement only applies to the Facebook community pages of Fredman Oy and its subsidiaries and those persons who have liked or followed the aforementioned Facebook pages.
Controller
Facebook Ireland (hereinafter “Facebook”) and Fredman Oy (hereinafter “Fredman”) are joint controllers, where applicable, of the fan and community pages on Facebook.
Facebook processes personal data in accordance with its own Data Policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation. Facebook is primarily responsible for compliance with the data protection legislation and for information security, as well as for enabling data subjects to exercise their rights on the service. Users can manage their Facebook privacy settings on Facebook.

Facebook provides Fredman with the names of individual users, their public profile pictures, and other data that is set as publicly visible. In practice, these are elements that are visible to every other user. You can provide us with other personal data in the comments on pages or in the chat service, for example, in a customer service interaction. We do not process your personal data outside Facebook, and the data is not combined with data in other registers. The legal basis for processing personal data is legitimate interest.
